So we have been stuck inside a lot lately due to the rain, and 50 degree weather…..ick!!!
So my Little Lizard has gotten creative and found another way to entertain himself……..
……..yogurt and markers……awesome!!
(I should have got a picture of my kitchen table.)
A certain Little Ladybug just can’t seem to stay out of her sister’s stuff:) She was caught emptying Big Ladybug’s jewelry box on arm.
Well our Little Lizard is 15 months old and now insisting on feeding himself. So I thought I would try some suction bowls to help with the mess. As you can see, they don’t help much :)
So far it’s been a pretty emotional process for him because he doesn’t always get his way.
However, he does seem to enjoy all the extra baths :)
Well my husband wasn’t home this particular evening so I was wrangling our lovely children solo. I was in the middle of feeding them dinner, which entailed some mashed potatoes and applesauce, when I received a phone call that I had been waiting for. (Of course it would happen during dinner!)
So in the matter of less than 5 minutes……everything went awry.
My lovely Little Ladybug smeared mashed potatoes everywhere!
And here she is being her usual rotten self…I asked her to smile for the camera :)
She was not acting alone, it’s like they feed off each other.
He had mashed potatoes all through his hair, hands, and body. He then decided that he was going to wiggle himself out of his lap belt and out of his highchair.
(I absolutely LOVE his CHUB!)
After that whole 5 minutes was up, I left everything out and took the messy babies upstairs for a bath.
When I am caught up in chaotic moments like this, I say to myself……”so someday I’m gonna miss this? Huh??”
Deep down though I know I will. They are messy, demanding, loud, and impulsive…..but at the same time, they are so little, sweet, precious, and forgiving. I know they grow up so fast, so I am trying to savor even these crazy moments.
Little Ladybug was getting ready supposed to be getting ready for bed, when I found her lying in the dollhouse.
I asked to to show me how she squeezed herself in there.
Good thing this is a old, sturdy Little Tykes dollhouse that has proven to withstand a lot!
For the past several years my hairdresser has come to my home to cut my and Big Ladybug’s hair. :)
Well it was time for Little Ladybug to join in and get her first real haircut. She was nervous and refused to sit anywhere but on my lap. She also refused to wear the cape, but she had no problem accepting a sucker to keep her occupied :)
It started out well, but……
quickly took a turn for the worst!
Daddy had to come in and hold her head so we could get her bangs cut!!!
The tears eventually dried up, but she continues to say,
“Haircut hurt mommy, all better now.”
While we were doing school, my Little Lizard kept insisting upon crawling under my chair. And if you know anything about my Little Lizard, you know he is not a little guy! Therefore, he kept getting himself stuck! I kept telling him he was like gum stuck to the bottom of my shoe….but I loved it!!!
Silly Boy!
Does my daughter really know how lucky she is?
Not many kids get to go to school dressed in this lovely get-up!
I guess it’s just one of the many pros of homeschooling!

Who says you need a lot of snow to build a snowman?
When Big Ladybug told me she wanted to go outside to build a snowman, I told her there wasn’t enough snow on the ground. Well, she sure proved me wrong! She was determined to build one, regardless of the size!

Is there anything a few baby dolls can’t fix?
Our little ones have croup, poor babies! But Little Ladybug is resting with a few dolls to help her feel better. The funny thing when she was in a crib, she did not want any toys with her. But now that she is in her big girl bed, she has them shoved under her blankets and all over her. I'm surprised she can even move!
Well, our little guy turned 1! The last year has gone by so quickly and he is growing up so fast. Here of some photos of him eating his cupcake, which he pieced on so daintily! His big cousin turned 8 and they were able to share a party, which was fun. As you can see I forgot to take extra clothes and a seat for him…oops :)
Thanks for sharing your party, big cousin! (By the way I love the tattoos!)
And Little Lizard got his first haircut! I gave him a sucker to entertain him. Needless to say, I don’t think he actually pulled it out of his mouth to swallow…..what a sweet sticky mess!
